Tasks: your queue of manual emails and calls
Manual Email and Phone Call steps open a task for a person; the Tasks page is where you work through them, snooze, or skip.
Where: Engage → Tasks → Refresh, Work the queue, filters All · Overdue · Due today · Later, search "Search leads or campaigns…", table with Open and ✕ (Skip this step); task window with Skip this step · Close · Snooze a day · Send & next / Log call & next
How to do it
- Open Tasks. The strip shows Open tasks (emails · calls), Overdue, Due today and Cleared this week.
- Filter with All / Overdue / Due today / Later or search by lead, email, company or campaign.
- Press Work the queue to open the first task, or Open on a row. The window shows "Task N of M" with ‹ › to move between tasks, the lead's details, and "History with this lead" (emails sent, opens, replies).
- Do the task (see the manual email and call articles), then Send & next or Log call & next moves you to the next task.
- Snooze a day pushes the due date out 24 hours and keeps the lead parked. Skip this step (or ✕ on the row) closes the task without acting and moves the lead to the next step.
Good to know
- A task opens the moment a lead reaches a Manual Email or Phone Call step — regardless of the campaign's sending window or mailbox limits — and the lead waits there until the task is completed or skipped.
- Overdue = due before today; the "Due today" filter includes overdue tasks in its count, while the Due today figure in the strip counts only tasks due today; Later = tomorrow or after. The exact due date and time is shown on each row.
- Out of office: if the lead's auto-reply gave a return date, the task's due date moves to that day (at the campaign window's opening) and the row shows "out of office until <date>".
- If the lead replies before you get to the task, their sequence stops and the reply appears in the task's History; the task itself stays in the queue until you close or skip it.
- Editing the sequence updates the text of open tasks (the task always shows the step's current wording rendered for that lead); a completed task keeps what was sent.
- Up to 500 open tasks are listed, earliest due first.
