MailFleet vs Instantly
Both tools give you unlimited sending accounts and free warmup. The differences are in what the monthly fee buys — how many leads and emails, whether LinkedIn is in the sequence, and how replies are handled.
The short version
Pick Instantly if you want a very large third-party lead database in the same product and an established ecosystem of native CRM connectors. It is email-only: there is no LinkedIn step in an Instantly sequence.
Pick MailFleet if you want email and LinkedIn in one sequence, a reply inbox that reads intent and stops sequences the moment someone answers, dedicated sending IPs from the mid tier, and a price that never grows with your team — unlimited teammates and unlimited mailboxes on every plan, including the $39 one.
Neither is a bad choice for straightforward cold email. The table below is the part most people actually want.
Pricing and limits, side by side
Prices are monthly, in USD, as shown on each vendor's pricing page on the date at the top of this article. Instantly also sells annual billing at a discount and bundles that add lead-database credits; the standalone outreach plans are compared here because they are the like-for-like product.

Sources: Instantly pricing, read on 22 September 2026, and MailFleet pricing, as of 2 October 2026. Instantly's Hypergrowth email allowance is shown as 100,000 in some places and 125,000 in others on their own materials; treat it as roughly a hundred thousand.
How to read that table honestly
- At the entry tier, MailFleet includes more for less. MailFleet's $39 Basic includes 10,000 emails a month and 2,000 stored leads; Instantly's $47 Growth plan includes 5,000 emails and 1,000 uploaded contacts. MailFleet's costs $8 less and adds a LinkedIn sender and a Lead Database allowance.
- The middle tier is the same story. Pro is $69 for 150,000 emails and 30,000 stored leads, with a dedicated IP included; Instantly's comparable tier is $97 for roughly 100,000 emails and 25,000 contacts but no dedicated IP. MailFleet includes more emails, more leads and what would otherwise be a separate infrastructure purchase.
- **MailFleet counts leads stored, Instantly counts contacts uploaded.** Both are effectively a cap on the size of your prospect pool, so they compare directly.
Where the products genuinely differ
LinkedIn in the same sequence
Instantly is a cold email product. There is no connection-request or LinkedIn-message step in an Instantly campaign; teams that want LinkedIn alongside email run a second tool.
MailFleet runs LinkedIn steps — profile visits, connection requests with a note, and messages — inside the same sequence as email, from a LinkedIn account you connect. Basic and Pro include one LinkedIn sender and Scale includes three; additional senders are $60 a month each. Daily caps (20 connection requests and 35 messages per account by default) are enforced by the automation itself, and when LinkedIn's monthly allowance of personalised notes runs out, invites still go — without the note — and the campaign page shows how many went that way. Read more on the LinkedIn outreach automation page.
What happens when someone replies
Both tools stop a sequence when the person replies. MailFleet's reply inbox additionally classifies each reply by intent (interested, meeting request, question, not now, not interested, out of office, wrong person, referral), so the queue you work each morning is sorted by what the reply means, not by when it arrived. An out-of-office reply with a return date holds the follow-ups until that date rather than ending the sequence or firing the next step into an empty inbox. You reply from the address the person wrote to, and forwarding rules can push interested replies to a colleague or a CRM by webhook.
Instantly's Unibox brings replies from all accounts into one view and, on the higher tiers, adds AI reply handling. If you already triage replies in a CRM, that may be all you need.
Warmup
Both include warmup at no extra cost. MailFleet warms mailboxes against every other customer's warmed inboxes in its network — real exchanges that are opened, rescued from spam and replied to — and warmup traffic never counts against your email credits. Instantly's warmup pool is one of the largest in the category, which is a real advantage when you connect many brand-new domains at once.
Sending infrastructure
MailFleet Pro includes one dedicated sending IP and Scale includes three, provisioned for your workspace. Instantly's plans as listed don't include dedicated IPs; its model relies on the reputation of the mailboxes you connect. Whether that matters depends on your volume: below a few thousand emails a day, mailbox reputation dominates; above it, having your own IP means another sender's mistakes can't affect you.
Data
Instantly's bundled lead database is much larger than MailFleet's (Instantly advertises 450M+ contacts; MailFleet's Lead Database is 53M people with title, seniority, country, industry and company-size filters). Instantly sells it as separate credit plans; MailFleet includes a monthly allowance in every plan. If sourcing new contacts is the bulk of your work, size matters and Instantly wins on breadth. If you bring your own lists and only top up, the included allowance is the simpler deal.
Integrations
Instantly has native connectors to HubSpot, Salesforce and Slack plus Zapier/Make. MailFleet offers webhooks on eight events (sent, opened, clicked, replied, interested, tagged, bounced, unsubscribed) on every plan, a REST API on Pro and Scale, and a Claude connector that lets you read stats or build a sequence from a chat. If a native CRM sync is a must-have today, Instantly is ahead here.
Things MailFleet does not do (yet)
- No free-forever plan — the trial is 7 days.
- No native HubSpot or Salesforce sync; use webhooks or the API.
- A smaller lead database than Instantly's.
Things to check before choosing either
- Count your mailboxes and people. Both make mailboxes free; only Instantly's bundles and lemlist-style tools charge per seat. If your team grows, neither of these two punishes you for it.
- Decide whether LinkedIn belongs in the sequence. If yes, Instantly needs a second product; if no, that difference is moot.
- Look at your reply volume. Above a few dozen replies a day, intent sorting and out-of-office handling save real time.
- Run the trial with a real campaign, not a test list. Deliverability differences only show up on real inboxes.
FAQ
Is MailFleet cheaper than Instantly?
On the listed allowances, yes. At the entry tier MailFleet's Basic costs $8 less and includes 10,000 emails a month and 2,000 stored leads, against Instantly Growth's 5,000 emails and 1,000 contacts. At the middle tier MailFleet's $69 Pro includes a dedicated IP, 150,000 emails, 30,000 stored leads and LinkedIn steps, where Instantly's $97 tier includes about 100,000 emails, 25,000 contacts, no LinkedIn and no dedicated IP. Instantly's advantages are elsewhere: a much larger lead database and native CRM connectors.
Does Instantly do LinkedIn automation?
No. Instantly is an email-only outreach tool; LinkedIn steps require a separate product. MailFleet includes LinkedIn steps on every plan, with one sender on Basic and Pro and three on Scale.
Do both include unlimited email accounts?
Yes. Both let you connect as many sending mailboxes as you like at no extra charge, and both include warmup for them.
Can I move from Instantly to MailFleet?
Yes. Export your leads as CSV and import them; connect the same mailboxes with their SMTP/IMAP credentials or a Smartlead/Instantly-style export; rebuild sequences in the builder. Warmup history does not transfer between tools — plan a week of warmup on any mailbox that has been idle.
