Manage a LinkedIn campaign
Pause, resume or launch a LinkedIn campaign, read its Overview, Leads, Steps and Senders tabs, and remove a single lead from it.
Where: Engage → LinkedIn (the LinkedIn Outreach list: run switch, View or Finish Setup, "⋯" → Edit Campaign · Duplicate · Delete Campaign) → campaign page with the run switch or Launch, Edit Campaign and tabs Overview · Leads · Steps · Senders
How to do it
- On the list, search by name, filter by status (All, Ongoing, Paused, Draft, Finished — each with a count) and flip a row's switch to pause or resume it. The switch is off for Drafts and Finished campaigns; if the change is refused, the switch flips back and the reason shows under the campaign's name. Press View to open a campaign, or Finish Setup to open a draft in the editor.
- On the campaign page, use the switch beside the name to pause or resume an Ongoing or Paused campaign; a Draft has a Launch button instead, and a Finished campaign has no control. A refusal (for example, no Active LinkedIn account) shows as an alert under the header. Edit Campaign opens the editor.
- Overview: Enrolled, Invites Sent, Accepted, Messages Sent, Replied and Interested; a "Couldn't send" strip when LinkedIn refused any invite ("Show Them →" lists those leads); Daily Activity; the Sequence with each step's numbers; the Funnel; and Details (lead source, sequence, accounts, schedule, started, created).
- Leads: filter by state — All, Not Invited, Invite Pending, Connected, Replied, Finished, plus Can't Invite, Bounced and Unsubscribed when anyone is in them — search by name, email or company, and page through 50 at a time with Previous and Next. Click a row for the lead panel; the LinkedIn icon opens their profile; Export CSV downloads what the filter and search show.
- To take one person out, open the row's "⋯" → Remove From Campaign (or Remove from campaign in the lead panel) and confirm with Remove Lead.
- Steps: one row per step, View Profile and conditions included, with Waiting Here, Done, Outcome and Result. Senders: every LinkedIn account on the campaign with its status, invites, accepted, messages, profile views, replies and interested.
Good to know
- The list's totals — Campaigns (· N live), Leads Enrolled, Contacted, Accepted, Replied, Interested — add up the campaigns in view, leaving drafts out. Each row shows where its leads come from, its steps and start date, "N / M contacted" (and how many finished), and Contacted, Accepted, Replied and Interested with rates.
- Contacted means a lead we sent an invite or a message (a profile view sends nothing). Accepted counts leads who accepted an invite this campaign sent — people who were connections already aren't in it; the Accepted card's rate is of invites sent, and it says how many invites are still pending. Replied and Interested count people, not messages: Replied is a share of contacted and opens Replies filtered to this campaign; Interested is a share of those who replied.
- Invites Sent says how many went without a note — and of those, how many because LinkedIn dropped the note (usually the monthly note allowance; the note comes back when it resets). Enrolled says how many aren't invited yet and how many have a LinkedIn action queued.
- Daily Activity shows invites sent and accepted per day for 7 Days, 14 Days or All Time, in the campaign's timezone; hover a day, or focus the chart and use the arrow keys, for its invites, acceptances, messages and replies. An acceptance is dated when MailFleet noticed it (accounts are checked every few hours), not when they clicked.
- On the Leads tab, "Where They Are" puts the lead's position in words — queued, waiting for them to accept, waiting for a LinkedIn URL, when the next step runs, or how the sequence ended — and Last Activity is the lead's latest activity across your workspace. Chip counts are totals for the whole campaign.
- Remove From Campaign ends that lead's sequence here: their remaining steps won't run and queued LinkedIn actions for them are cancelled — an action already in progress still finishes, and nothing is withdrawn on LinkedIn — an invite still pending stays pending. A lead whose sequence was still running stays in the campaign as Finished, with the activity "Removed from “<campaign>”" (a replied, bounced or unsubscribed lead keeps its status), so neither its lead list nor its feeding email campaign adds them back. They stay in your Leads, and their replies stay in Replies.
- Steps: Result is "N% accepted" for a Connect (of the invites it sent), "N% replied" for a Message (each reply is matched to the latest message the lead got), and for a condition the share that continued or matched; a View Profile step sends nothing, so it has no rate.
- Senders: each account shows its caps and today's use (for example "of 20 a day · 3 today" — shared with every campaign that uses the account), "Notes paused until …" while LinkedIn's note allowance is spent, "Reconnect →" when it needs reconnecting, and "Removed from campaign" for an account that sent for this campaign before it was taken off.
- Pausing cancels the LinkedIn actions queued for the campaign's leads (they are queued again when you resume); one already running still finishes, and replies still land in Replies. A campaign fed by an email campaign stays Ongoing while that email campaign is Ongoing or Paused, even when all its current leads are done.
- Duplicate makes a Draft called "<name> copy" with the same sequence, senders and lead source and no leads. Delete Campaign stops it for every lead mid-sequence and deletes its enrolments, steps and stats — the leads stay in Leads, replies stay in Replies and invites already sent stay pending on LinkedIn. It can't be undone.
- Add ?tab=leads (or steps, senders) to a campaign's address to open that tab; Overview is the default.
