Lead Database: searching and filters

Search 50M+ people by name or company, job title (paste dozens at once, with similar titles matched automatically), seniority, country and state, industry, company size, email and phone.

Where: Lead Database (left nav) → Filters panel on the left → results table on the right

How to do it

  1. Open Lead Database. The header shows the live size of the database (people · companies) and Leads in your workspace (how many leads you keep, of your plan's limit).
  2. Type a Name or company (e.g. "Acme" or "Jane").
  3. Under Job titles start typing — the most common matching titles appear with counts. Press Enter or click one to add it as a tag. Paste a comma-, semicolon- or line-separated list (e.g. "Founder, CEO, Co-Founder") to add several at once. Add titles to Exclude job titles the same way.
  4. Tick Seniority chips (C-suite, Founder, Owner, Partner, VP, Head, Director, Manager, Senior, Entry, Intern), choose Country (and State once exactly one country is chosen), Industry, and Company size (1–10, 11–50, 51–200, 201–1,000, 1,001+).
  5. Set Email to Any, Has email or Verified, and tick Has phone number if you need numbers. Click Reset to clear all filters.
  6. Results update as you change filters. The count reads "N people"; above 10,000 it shows "counting…" then the exact number (or "about N (estimate)" if an exact count is too slow).

Good to know

  • Title matching is "contains": "manager" also matches "project manager". Titles of three characters or fewer (cto, vp, hr, it…) are matched as whole words so "cto" never matches "director".
  • Typed titles are normalised the way the data is written: "Co-Founder" becomes "co founder", "C.E.O." becomes "ceo". Spaces never split a list — "head of sales" stays one title.
  • Similar titles is on by default: the picker shows "Also matching chief executive…" under your tags. Click Turn off to match exactly what you typed, or Include similar titles to switch it back on. Same-role variants covered include ceo/chief executive officer, cfo, cto, coo, cmo, cio, vp/vice president, svp/evp/avp, founder/founding partner, owner/proprietor, manager/mgr, sdr/bdr, rn/registered nurse, hr/human resources, it/information technology, ux and more.
  • Spelling variants ("head of sales" ⇄ "head sales", "sales and marketing" ⇄ "sales marketing") are always searched, even with similar titles off.
  • Excluding a title excludes every way of writing it, but an exclusion never cancels a title you explicitly included.
  • Limits: up to 50 titles per list. Include and exclude share one search budget of 28 query branches — a normal title costs 1, a short (≤3-character) title costs 4. When the budget is full the field reads "Search limit reached — remove a title to add another". Variants that would overflow are dropped and reported ("+N more would exceed the search limit").
  • Verified (Email filter) means the address was marked verified in the source data. Has email means any address on file.
  • Results show 25 per page. Searches over 10,000 matches show "Page N of 400+"; the exact total is fetched separately.
  • Columns: click Columns to show or hide Company, Location, Email and Phone. Person (name, title · seniority, LinkedIn / website / phone icons) always shows. The choice is remembered in your browser.
  • Rate limits: 240 searches a minute. A search that is too broad to run quickly returns "add a filter or two".
  • If the database is being loaded you see "Coming online — check back shortly".
