Lead Database: exporting people as CSV

Download matching or ticked people as a CSV with real email addresses; it costs exactly what adding them costs and adds them to a list at the same time so you are never charged twice.

Where: Lead Database → Export CSV (beside the result count) · tick rows → Export

How to do it

  1. Set your filters. Click Export CSV, enter How many people (1 to 10,000, starts at 1,000) and Max per company (1 to 100, starts at 2, blank for none), then click Export N. Or tick up to 2,000 rows and click Export in the selection bar.
  2. Wait for the download ("Exporting… this can take a minute"). The file is named lead-database-YYYY-MM-DD.csv.
  3. Read the notice: how many were exported, how many were new to you (added to a list named “Export YYYY-MM-DD”) and how many were already yours (free).

Good to know

  • Columns in the file: email, first_name, last_name, title, company, domain, industry, employees, phone, linkedin_url, city, state, country.
  • New-to-you people use one unit of the monthly allowance each and are added to a new list named "Export YYYY-MM-DD" (the export dialog has no list picker), so they take room in your workspace like any lead. People already yours are included free.
  • On the Saved tab the export is free and charges nothing. Anyone there who isn't one of your leads now (deleted since, or only revealed before reveals were saved to your leads) is left out of the file — add them to a list first (free) to include them.
  • Exports stop at the room left in your workspace or your allowance rather than going over; the dialog shows "X of Y left in this month's allowance".
  • Cells that begin with =, +, -, @ are prefixed with an apostrophe so spreadsheets treat them as text.
  • One export at a time (about six a minute). If a download fails after people were added, they are in your Leads and re-exporting them from the Saved tab is free.
