Calls page and the in-app dialer
Dial any lead or number from your browser, log the outcome, and review recent calls.
Where: Engage → Calls (with calling enabled) → number field, Call, Leads search ("Search leads by name, email or company…"), Enrich Number, Outcome, Notes, Mute / End & Log, Recent Calls → Redial; plan link "N / M connections left · Manage plan"
How to do it
- Type a number (e.g. +1 555 010 1234) or search Leads and press the phone icon to load a lead into the dialer.
- Press Call. The status shows Connecting…, Ringing…, then the timer; use Mute / Unmute and End & Log to hang up.
- Pick an Outcome (Connected — booked, Connected — not now, Voicemail left, No answer, Wrong number) and add Notes — they save with the call when it ends. You can still pick or change them after hanging up: press Save Outcome. The next call starts with both empty.
- Use Recent Calls (last 50) to see outcome and duration, and press Redial to load that number — and the lead, if the call had one — back into the dialer.
Good to know
- You need a microphone (headphones recommended) and a network that allows a secure WebSocket to sip.telnyx.com on port 7443. If a firewall, VPN or network filter blocks that port, the call fails with a connection error instead of ringing — try another network or a phone hotspot. The log lines under the dialer show where a call stalled.
- Numbers are dialed in international format; a bare 10-digit number is treated as US/Canada (+1).
- The page shows "Browser calling ready" and, on a metered plan, connections left this cycle. When credits reach zero, dialing is refused with "You've used all N call connections in this billing cycle. Add more under Calls → Manage calling plan."
- The Leads panel lists your 40 most recently updated leads and counts how many have a number; searching queries the whole workspace by name, email, company or title (up to 50 matches). "Enrich Number" appears for leads without a phone: it looks the number up in your own Apollo account (Settings → Integrations) and MailFleet doesn't charge for it.
- A loaded lead shows their local time when a full timezone (like America/New_York) is on file for them; nothing is shown for a blank one or a bare abbreviation like EST. Recent Calls times are in your own timezone, and its header counts today's calls and how many connected.
- Recording: Settings → Calls → Call recording On/Off (On by default; the section appears once calling is enabled). With it off, no call from the workspace is recorded. Recordings aren't shown in MailFleet. Check local consent law.
- Without the calling add-on, the Calls page shows the plan configurator instead of the dialer.
