Call tasks and logging outcomes

Work a Phone Call step: call from the browser (or your own phone), follow the script, log the outcome and notes.

Where: Engage → Tasks → task window for a "Make a call" task → Call <name> / Find number (Apollo), Script — filled with their details, After the call: Outcome, Call notes → Log call & next

How to do it

  1. Open the task. The top shows the lead's number (or "No number on file").
  2. With in-app calling enabled, press "Call <first name>" to dial from the browser; use Mute / Unmute and End Call. Without it, dial from your own phone ("calls happen off-platform").
  3. If there is no number and calling is enabled, press "Find number (Apollo)" to look it up (see the Apollo article).
  4. Follow "Script — filled with their details" (editable). Under After the call pick an Outcome: Connected — booked, Connected — not now, Voicemail left, No answer, Wrong number; add Call notes.
  5. Press Log call & next.

Good to know

  • An outcome is required ("Pick an outcome for the call.").
  • A "Connected" outcome stops the sequence for this lead; any other outcome advances them to the next step. "Connected — booked" also sets the lead to Meeting and counts as Interested on the campaign; other connected outcomes set the lead to Contacted.
  • After a browser call ends, an unanswered call pre-fills "No answer"; an answered call leaves the outcome for you to choose, and the Outcome label shows the talk time.
  • An answered browser call uses one call connection credit (idempotent per task) on metered calling plans; ring-outs, busy and voicemail cost nothing.
  • Browser calls are listed on the Calls page with their outcome, duration and notes, and a logged outcome shows as the lead's last activity. Recordings aren't shown in MailFleet.
