Creating an account and logging in
How sign-up, email verification, invites, password and code-based login, and logging out work.
Where: Pricing page → Start Free Trial (Stripe) → mailfleet.co/signup · mailfleet.co/login · sidebar account button → Log out
How to do it
- Sign up: go to the sign-up page, enter First name, Last name (optional), Work email, Phone number and a Password of at least 10 characters, then click Continue.
- Check your inbox for an email titled 'Your MailFleet verification code'. Enter the 6-digit code and click Verify & create workspace (or Verify & join if you came from an invite). Use ← Change details to go back or Resend code to get a new one.
- Log in with a password: on the login page enter Work email and Password and click Log In.
- Log in without a password: click Forgot your password? Email me a sign-in code, enter your Work email, click Email Me a Sign-In Code, then enter the 6-digit code and click Sign In. Back to Password Sign-In returns to the password screen with your email kept; Use a Different Email changes the address; Resend Code sends a new code.
- Join a team: open the invite link you were emailed. The sign-up page shows 'Join <workspace name>' with your email pre-filled and read-only; complete the form and verify the code as above.
- Log out: click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Log out.
Good to know
- Verification and sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and allow 5 attempts; after that you must request a new code. A new code can be requested every 30 seconds.
- The first account created for a workspace is its Owner; the workspace is named '<Your name> workspace' and can be renamed under Settings → Workspace.
- One email address backs one account, and that account can belong to several workspaces (its own and any that invited it). If the address already has an account, sign-up verification fails with 'That email already has an account. Log in instead.'
- A new account needs the Stripe trial or paid-plan checkout, or a team invite. Opening the sign-up page without either sends you to the trial checkout; a checkout that's already linked to an account asks you to log in instead.
- Started the trial (or bought a plan) but closed the page before creating your account? On the login page choose "Finish setting up" (mailfleet.co/signup?recover=1) and sign up with the email you entered at checkout — the code we email proves it's yours and links the trial to your new account. Don't start a second trial: that would be a second subscription.
- Invite links are sent from Settings → Members → Invite a teammate → Send invite. They are valid for 7 days, can be revoked from the same page, and must be used with the invited email address. Invitees join as Members and share the workspace's mailboxes, campaigns, leads and replies; they can never see another workspace.
- Only the workspace Owner can invite teammates, revoke a pending invite, or remove a Member (Settings → Members → Remove).
- Belong to more than one workspace, or have an invite waiting? After logging in you choose which workspace to open, and you can switch any time from the workspace menu in the sidebar (on a phone, the top bar).
- Sessions last 30 days and are renewed automatically while you keep using the app, so an active user is not logged out mid-task.
- There is no password-change form in Settings. If you have forgotten your password, use the emailed sign-in code instead.
- Login does not reveal whether an email address has an account: the code-based flow always says 'If an account exists for … a 6-digit code is on its way'.
- An account that MailFleet has disabled cannot sign in by either method.
- If you arrived from the pricing page after paying with PayPal, the sign-up form shows a notice that you are completing a subscription (card payments show no notice). Either way, the paid plan activates on the new workspace once the payment is confirmed.
