Send a test email from a mailbox
Send a one-off test message from any Active sender to an address you choose, with that mailbox's real settings, signature and reply-to.
Where: Mailboxes → row ⋯ → "Send Test Email", or a mailbox's page → "Send Test" → "Send a Test Email" dialog → "Send Test"
How to do it
- On the Mailboxes list open the mailbox's ⋯ menu → "Send Test Email", or click "Send Test" at the top of its page. Both appear only while the mailbox is Active.
- Enter the Recipient address and click "Send Test".
- Read the result: "Sent to <address>" or "Not sent — <reason>".
Good to know
- The dialog warns "Uses one slot from today's limit" — a test counts against the mailbox's daily limit, and is refused with "Daily limit reached" when the mailbox is at its cap.
- The message is titled "Test send from <mailbox>", lists the transport used, and includes the mailbox signature and reply-to. It is never copied to the mailbox's BCC to CRM address.
- A successful test clears any old error; a failure with a credential-type message marks the mailbox Disconnected. Paused, Disconnected and Unverified mailboxes can't send a test.
